FOR NOVICE, JUNIOR AND LEARNER PLAYERS

This evening is primarily for new learners/novice members - until they want to move onto other sessions, plus members who are returning and need a refresher and junior members who cannot attend any other sessions. Players are able to ask questions and be given help if they so wish.
Players of other grades, including juniors, may play but shall not earn masterpoints unless the event is published as "Open".
Any members who are prepared to mentor a junior/s are very welcome.
Monday public holidays are excluded from Monday nights. An open competition is played on the afternoons of these public holidays and any member can play in those competitions and we encourage any novice/ juniors to take advantage of playing in another session on these days.
NOVICE PAIRS
After playing for several weeks novices are encouraged to pair up with one person. If a pair play together for 20 weeks or more they will be eligible for the Novice Cup. If they play together for more than 20 weeks all their results will count.
WELCOME BACK PAIRS
There is no limit on partnerships in this three day match.
COMMITTEE OPEN PAIRS
This is a three week competition following the AGM in which it is anticipated that committee members will approach novice and junior players to play. However there is no limit to the partnership.
GRADUATION PAIRS
This competition is a six week competition following Tution Classes. It will be handicapped with no limit on partnerships.
NOTE: You do not need to have a partner to come and play on a Monday evening. Just come along and you will be paried up with another player.
