All members of the Rangiora Bridge Club are entitled to play bridge at the Club every Saturday afternoon of the Bridge Year. Members may either select their partners in accordance with the various competition rules in order to qualify, or alternatively, they may play with whomever they wish and not qualify.
SIX MATCH PAIRS
Five pairs competititions. (Thomas, Cherry, Pocock, Oxford and Grey), each with six rounds, four to qualify. All rounds in each competition with the same partner to qualify in each competition. If more than four rounds are played with the same partner, all rounds will be counted.
If you play more than one competition with the same partner and do not declare which competition you are entering on the competition sheets at the beginning of the year, your results from the first competitiion you play together will be counted.
TWO & THREE DAY MATCHES
Three competitions - Autumn Colours, Winter Blues and Spring Blossoms. Each competition to be played with the same partner. One substitution to be allowed in three day matches.
INDIVIDUAL
Three rounds, two rounds to qualify, each round to be played with a different partner. If three rounds are played, all will count except where one has been played with the same partner. In this case only the first round played with that partner will be counted.
HOLIDAY WALK-IN
Three non-competition days to start the year. No partnership requirements. Sort a partner and come and play.
